Hello everyone!
Back in January, Australian beauty blogger Mystique from Beast & Beauty (click here to access her blog) had a brilliant idea: why not organise a blog swap between Australian bloggers and the rest of the world? I signed up as soon as I heard about it, after all what best way to make new friends, meet new people and discover new products?! And so started the Valentine’s Swap adventure
I was matched with the lovely Flossy (go and visit her blog here, you know you want to!) and was very happy to receive a lovely parcel at work. I could not resist taking a sneak peak but did not open anything just then as I wanted to do it at home, where I could squeak with excitment!
Here is what I received:
And yes, before you ask, everything that could be eaten was eaten immediately after this picture was taken.
Beauty Essentials quad eye palette in Be Mocha: a quad of nude matte eyeshadows plus a slightly shimmery one. I was looking for one of those as I am now completely into nude colours, so I am very happy indeed with this.
Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Blush in Poser: I have only swatched this blush and am amazed: light reflecting and shimmery rather than glittery, it is a multicoloured blush that can also be used as a bronzer.
Models Prefer eyeshadow in Smoking Hot: transit took its toll on this one, despite plenty of bubble wrap. A vibrant silver eyeshadow, it arrived in loose powder form. Not a problem, mind you: I will use it like I would a pigment!
Face Of Australia Mineral Therapy Illuminator: a huge tube of pearlised, light reflecting mineral highlighter that can be used on face and body. I have swatched a tiny amount on the back of my hand and boy it is good so my cheekbones will get a taste of this baby in a very short time!
Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Quickstep: a lovely soft brown that would look good with muted eyes.
Models Prefer Powder Black Eyeliner: I have never tried a powder eyeliner. The top part is a foamy tip that you dip into the bottom part that contains powder. I can already see it becoming my go to product for soft smokey eyes!
Flossy also included a lovely Valentine’s card (will it make you cry if I tell you this was the only Valentine’s card I received this year?), Jelly Beans and Chocolatey-caramelly goodness!
Now of course I am very sure that I will fall in total and utter love with these products and will not be able to find them here when they are finished (mind, knowing brands have an habit of discontinuing even products that they do sell here, it is not that different!). I was very happy to take part in this Valentine’s Blog Swap, it was my first and will definitely not be my last!
I would like to thank Mystique for her brilliant and smooth organisation, and for coming up with this brilliant idea! And a special thank you to Flossy who has prepared a lovely package full of goodies that I will most definitely enjoy!
What about you dear reader, did you ever take part in a blog swap?

That’s such a cool idea
What did you send over? x
Brilliant idea isn’t it?!
I’m not saying anything specific yet, as she has not received mine yet and I don’t want to spoil the surprise
Im soooo so so glad you enjoyed your goodies. I’m sorry to hear about the eyeshadow though. It was actually a trio which must’ve got mashed up in transit.
Don’t be sorry Flossy! It gives me a personalised silver pigment to try on now!! Thanks for all the goodies again, it was lovely x
